How Much is a Web site?

joe the geek

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but as long as we're here we may as well dance.

Well ...

How much is a car?

The answer is the same. It depends on where you want to go, what you want it to do, the features you require and how much you want to impress your friends. A web page is cheaper.

I offer both package and special project contracts. Each web site package offers full design for your needs, graphics, conversion of your existing photographs or logos for web use, consulting for the best deal for the first year of site hosting, and the first year of your domain registrations. Will also apply changes and updates for six months, provided it does not require redesigning the site.

Generally, for a Plan A package, figure about $150 for the initial consultation, development or conversion of graphic files, assistance with domain setup using your hosting company (and I recommend 1and1, below), and the opening page. Figure about $100 per additional page, but we will negotiate a personal package. Using this rule a five page site would be $550, but it will more likely be much less as a package rate.

Page Maintenance (revision of monthly schedules, special events or minor changes) can be done on a retainer of $50. Changes requiring new programming or redesign are negotiated as a new job.

A Plan B package is completely different.
